Well, normally after the rain the only thing that conjures in my mind is being wet, miserable and wishing for a summer holiday, somewhere nice and hot. Yet the‘After the Rain’ range inspires thousands of women across the world to buy Arran Aromatics products. It is their best selling range available in a plethora of forms for you to bathe, spash on, soothe or pamper your body with.

I find it strange as my shop sells a varied range of items from some very premium niche designer, yet my top selling range is ‘After the Rain’. It’s not expensive; it is very plainly packaged, and is not over powering in scent.
Arran Aromatics describe ‘After the Rain’ as - Simple, uncomplicated luxury. Unblemished white conceals rose petals and cut grass - with an irresistibly fresh fragrance to make you feel awakened, cleansed and rediscovered.
In my own words, the images and feeling that this fragrance bring to me is of, the kind of spring that I remember as a child. Awakening in the early spring morning, sun shining through the windows. You sneak down to the kitchen, to the garden. Open the back door and run around in your bare feet through the dew that lay on the fresh spring grass. Fresh, Alive - Invigorated.
As with all fragrances though, the beauty is that it will evoke different memories for different people. Although I have to say there is something very pleasing about ‘After the Rain’ which is why I assume so many women are attracted to not just the fragrance but the image Arran Aromatics have conjured with its very uncomplicated look and feel.
Living in Ayrshire I am very privileged with the breath taking views that Arran provides us with, when the sky’s are clear. Which often happens after a patch of rain. So maybe there is something very familiar in the name Arran Aromatics have given their number one selling range.
Arran is said by many to be the Scottish Highlands in miniature form as an island. If any of you have visited the Scottish highlands you will know how breath taking it really is.
